Munich Show 2011 - People here at the Show

Minerals are one thing but what really makes for a memorable time at a mineral show is spending time with friends.  This year I enjoyed several dinners with people I see but a few times a year as well folks that I see more often. Tuesday was spent paling around with Jesse Fisher and Dan and Diana Weinrich.  We all met at Marion Platz and first order of business for me as was a plate of sausage and sour kraut and good German beer.  That night Jesse and I met up with John White and Terry and Marie huizing for dinner.  Lots of good conversation and an enjoyable meal.

On Wednesday I connected with English dealer Sarah Giller and her friend Ross.  Later retired mineral dealer Francois Lietard joined us and a bottle of wine later we were pretty much all in a festive mood to begin the show.  That night I connected with Jordi Fabre, Jordi Pares and John White for a dinner near the show. Excellent Bavarian dish as I recall.

On Friday there was a meeting planned via Facebook to meet at the Spirifer/Miner's Lunchbox booth for customary Polish treats, polish beer and Polish Vodka.
